Macallan Classic Cut Single Malt Scotch Whisky Limited Edition 2022 750ml

The Macallan Classic Cut 2022 Edition is a limited annual release bottled at a higher strength, 52.5%. Whisky maker Steven Bremner built it from casks of two wood types, European and American oak.

The Macallan, on its estate above the River Spey, is known for its sherry-seasoned oak casks and its natural colour. Classic Cut shows both woods together, with a distinct grapefruit note. It pours golden butterscotch, with grapefruit, peach, apple and orange, vanilla sponge, oak, fruit blossom and almond on the nose, then fresh fruit, caramel, a wisp of chocolate, lemon sponge and nuts, and a sweet, creamy, warming finish.
