Woodbridge was founded by Robert Mondavi in 1979 at Acampo, near Lodi, as an everyday California label. In 2025 it became part of The Wine Group. We carry the Chardonnay in several sizes.
The grapes come from a range of California growing regions, and the wine is aged on its lees with some oak, which gives it a silky texture without heavy toast.
The winery describes pear and slightly tropical aromas, then a clean, crisp yet silky palate with ripe peach and toasty tropical fruit.
Against Yellow Tail, Woodbridge is crisper; for a dependable everyday white, choose Woodbridge.
Chill it for two hours or so and serve it at about 50°F. It's good with grilled chicken, shrimp, salads and a cheese board.
Woodbridge also makes Buttery and Lightly Oaked Chardonnays; this is the original.
