Beaulieu Vineyard Tapestry Reserve Napa Valley Red Blend 2022 750ml

Tapestry Reserve is Beaulieu Vineyard's Bordeaux-style red blend: Cabernet Sauvignon woven together with the other four classic Bordeaux grapes. James Suckling put the 2022 in his Top 100 Wines of the USA for 2025.

BV has farmed in Rutherford since 1900, and Treasury Wine Estates owns it today. The 2022 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. About half the Cab is from Rutherford, the rest from Calistoga, Howell Mountain and St. Helena. It spent 20 months in French oak, about 60% new. A cool summer gave small, concentrated berries. It's 14.9% alcohol.

The winery describes blackberry, plum and cassis with baking spice and toasty oak, bright acidity, firm tannins and an earthy "Rutherford dust" note.

The extra Malbec and Petit Verdot make it spicier and more structured than BV’s Napa Valley Cabernet. Choose Tapestry for a richer dinner.

Decant it for an hour. BV suggests ribeye, leg of lamb, short ribs or porcini risotto.
