Bota Box Chardonnay

Bota Box is made by Delicato Family Wines at Manteca in California's Central Valley. We carry the Chardonnay in the 500ml Tetra Pak and the 3L box.

The 3L box holds the same as four bottles, and once it's open the bag inside keeps the wine fresh for about a month, so you can pour one glass at a time. The packaging is recyclable. The wine is 13% alcohol.

Bota describes it as bright and balanced, between crisp and rich: citrus zest and honeydew on the nose, then lemon, Honeycrisp apple and graham cracker, a hint of oak and a juicy finish.

Against Woodbridge, Bota Box gives you more wine for the money and stays fresh longer after opening; for a fridge door or a party, choose the box.

Serve it chilled. The producer suggests angel hair with scallops, fish and chips or a grilled chicken Caesar salad.
