Bruichladdich Port Charlotte PMC:01 Heavily Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2013 750ml

Bruichladdich Port Charlotte PMC:01 2013 is the first Port Charlotte matured in casks from Pomerol, the smallest of Bordeaux's great red wine appellations. Port Charlotte is Bruichladdich's heavily peated range. It was distilled in 2013 from Scottish Concerto barley and is bottled at 54.5%.

The Pomerol casks add red fruit to the smoke: warm peat with stewed pear, melon, rose, vanilla, honey and leather on the nose, then malt sugar and peat over blackberry, plum and aged leather, with a finish of crushed seashells, lemon rind and lingering smoke.
