Soutiran Signature Grand Cru Brut Champagne 750ml

Soutiran is a family grower in Ambonnay, one of the Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims. Valérie Soutiran runs it with her husband, cellar master Patrick Renaux, farming about 30 plots without insecticides or weedkillers.

Signature is the house's main Grand Cru cuvée. The current release is 73% Pinot Noir and 27% Chardonnay, built on the 2021 harvest with 35% reserve wines from 2012 to 2019, and 11% was fermented in oak barrels.

The house describes white fruit, white flowers and dried fruit on the nose, then a creamy mousse, red and yellow fruit, chalky minerality and a saline finish.

Next to a big-house Brut like Pol Roger Brut Réserve, Soutiran is more vinous and Pinot-driven; for a grower Champagne with Grand Cru depth, choose Soutiran.

Serve it around 10°C with roast chicken, pork or aged cheese.
