"winemaker's notes: Six Grapes has a seductive, rich aroma of ripe plums, cherries and dark chocolate notes. On the palate it's complex, with an excellent structure and a long, lingering finish. Six Grapes is one of Graham's original Port blends--it is a very full-bodied, luscious wine drawn from the same vineyards as Graham's Vintage Ports. Blended from two or three years' harvests, the wine is an average of five to six years old when it is lightly filtered and bottled."

“Ripe and opulent plummy fruit on the nose, big and bold. Well extracted deep fruits on the palate framed by well balanced tannins and freshness.”

Wine Review Online

"The lure of a non-vintage Port is the fact that the taste should be fairly the same release after release, much as we would expect it to be with a branded spirit. And so it with Six Grapes. As anticipated, the dark berry flavors are rich and creamy with hints of vanilla bean on the finish, and the tannins are mild and dusty. Ports are being utilized more and more as ingredients in cocktails, and the producers’ suggestion that Six Grapes be substituted for sweet Vermouth in Manhattans – although hopefully in lesser concentrations – merits further study. 91 Roger Morris"
