Bernard de Nonancourt's idea was that no single harvest makes a perfect vintage Champagne, so Grand Siècle blends three of them. No. 27 is 2015, 2013 and 2012, 60% Chardonnay to 40% Pinot Noir, all of it grand cru.

The fruit comes from eight grand cru villages. This one sat about ten years on its lees and was disgorged in January 2025, which is why a wine with no vintage on the label tastes older than you expect.

Honeysuckle, violet and lavender, then white peach, apple and lemon confit over bread dough, with chalk and graphite underneath. Full but weightless, bone dry, and the finish runs on. James Suckling 99 points, Jeb Dunnuck 98, Wine Enthusiast 97, Wine Advocate 95+, and 18.5+ out of 20 from Jancis Robinson.

Against a vintage Champagne at the same money, this is the safer bet: three good years instead of one, and already a decade old when it reaches you.

Out of the fridge twenty minutes before pouring, into white-wine glasses rather than flutes.

JS99
James Suckling

James Suckling scored it 99 points in November 2025: honeysuckle, violet and lavender over bread dough and baked orchard fruit, with graphite, chalk and iodine underneath, a full body that still feels light, and a finish that runs for minutes. He calls it already fascinating, and evolving in the glass.

Jeb Dunnuck

Jeb Dunnuck gave it 98 points, finding wet stone, apricot and lavender, a silky texture and a long finish, and calling it a very pretty edition. His drinking window runs from 2027 to 2057.

WE97
Wine Enthusiast

Wine Enthusiast gave it 97 points in May 2026: white peach, apple, acacia blossom and almond with a saline, chalky edge that opens as the wine breathes, then bright acidity carrying citrus and peach to an intense chalky finish. Its reviewer expects it to keep improving to about 2045.

WA95
Wine Advocate

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it 95+ points: pear, peach, lemon confit and freshly baked bread with a subtle smoky reduction, full-bodied and concentrated with tangy acidity and a long finish. Reviewed by Kristaps Karklins in October 2025 from the January 2025 disgorgement.
