Laurent-Perrier La Cuvee Brut Champagne 750ml

Laurent-Perrier dates to 1812 in Tours-sur-Marne. The Nonancourt family bought it in the 1930s, and Bernard de Nonancourt built it into one of Champagne's great houses, creating Grand Siècle in 1959.

La Cuvée is the house Brut, and its signature is Chardonnay: more than half the blend, with 30 to 35% Pinot Noir and 10 to 15% Meunier from more than 100 crus. It is made from free-run juice only, fermented in steel, and aged four years in the cellars with 15 to 30% reserve wines.

The house describes fresh citrus and white flowers on the nose, then white peach and white fruit with finesse and freshness.

Because it's Chardonnay-led, it's lighter than Bollinger Special Cuvée; for a delicate, elegant Brut, choose La Cuvée.

Laurent-Perrier suggests it as an aperitif or with fish and white meat. Serve it well chilled.
