Rosé Impérial is the pink partner to Moët's Brut Impérial, and the color comes from red wine: about a tenth of the Pinot Noir and Meunier is made as still red wine and blended in.
Moët & Chandon was founded in Épernay in 1743 and is part of LVMH. It owns more vineyards than anyone in Champagne, and Benoît Gouez has been cellar master since 2005.
The blend leads with Pinot Noir, then Meunier, with a smaller share of Chardonnay and 20 to 30% reserve wines. The house now uses a light dosage of 7 grams per liter, so it stays dry.
Moët describes wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry on the nose with a hint of rose and pepper, then redcurrant and peach on a fresh, juicy palate.
Compared with the sweeter Nectar Impérial Rosé, this is the dry one; for dinner rather than dessert, choose Rosé Impérial. We carry it in 187ml minis, 750ml and magnum.
Serve it cold with salmon, tuna or strawberries. See more Moët & Chandon Champagne or our sparkling rosé. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery across NYC.
